Hello darling,
I had a friend who greeted me that way sometimes. Made me feel happy and tickled and loved. All with two words. She died recently – I miss her.
I’ve added some work under the “PAINTINGS” tab – so take a look and let me know what you think. I appreciate your time and thoughts.

December 2021
My family celebrates Christmas, and it came early for me this year. An opportunity to show at a coffee shop/gallery in White Center! I have a lucky 13 pieces up for the whole of December. Show proceeds go to WestSide Baby whose mission is to supply equipment, diapers and clothing to children in need. Thanks to DubSea Coffee!
How many revisions can one painting go through? When I took art classes in Portland, the teacher showed the video of Picasso revising one painting. It was astonishing the number of variations he tried. So in that spirit:
Experimenting is the word: with backgrounds, with line, with color.
My teacher showed me how to mix up mediums (oil paint additions) to make the paint less viscous. I had an idea that I wanted the paint to move as quickly as charcoal can.
I’m done (just for now) with portraits – so very grateful to my models. I learned so much. Next project will be to translate my charcoal figure drawings into paint. Always nice to have a direction.
